(1) Serge/overlock both sides of "skirt based".
How to Serge/overlock (sewing machine & overlock sewing machine)
(2) Apply stay tape to the zipper attachment position.
(3) Sew the zipper section together to the Sewing end position, and press seam allowances open with an iron.
(4) Attach a 22cm invisible zip to "skirt based".
(5) Serge/overlock both sides of the "3rd ruffle", sew the sides together to form a loop, and press seam allowances open with an iron. Fold the ruffle hem 3 times.
(6) Serge/overlock both sides of the "2nd ruffle", sew the sides together to form a loop, and press seam allowances open with an iron. Fold the ruffle hem 3 times.
(7) Serge/overlock both sides of the "first ruffle", sew the sides together to form a loop, and press seam allowances open with an iron. Fold the ruffle hem 3 times.
(8) Create tucks for all ruffles, baste with a sewing machine, and Serge/overlock only the tuck portion of the "2nd ruffle" seam allowance (S/A).
(9) Attach the "2nd ruffle" to "skirt based" at the "2nd ruffle" attachment position.
(10) Attach the "3rd ruffle" to "skirt based", and Serge/overlock the seam allowance (S/A).
(11) Apply fusible interlining to the "belt" with an iron.
(12) Iron the "belt" first by folding 1cm (or 0.5in), shaping it for easy insertion.
(13) Fold the center line of the "belt" with an iron.
* When ironing, slightly offset one side of the fold by about 1mm.
(14) Sew the sides of the "belt" and turn it inside out.
(15) Align the skirt with the baste position of the "belt" and stitch it while tucking in the "first ruffle".
* Attaching the "first ruffle" to "skirt based" beforehand makes sewing easier.
(16) Attach Hook And Bar Eye or Button.
