This is a pattern and instructions for a box pleated skirt with 18 folds.
Originally, this type of pattern paper is quite difficult to make because of the large number of darts, etc., but this pattern paper is a simplified version.
The advantages are as follows
• The zipper is not attached to the valley fold, so it is not difficult and easy to make.
• The pattern is not divided into multiple sheets, so it is easy to understand.
• The number of darts is about 1/3 of the original one, so it is quicker to finish.
• The hem line is straight, so it is easy to lengthen or shorten the hem.
• The process is easy to make, but the finished product is surprisingly beautiful.
The disadvantages are
• Since the darts on the back folds are omitted, the waist part becomes a little thicker since the difference is processed on top of the darts.
• The seam between the skirts is in the center of the back folds, so depending on the angle, the seam can be seen.
This type of skirt pattern is sufficient for daily wear and cosplay costumes.
