In cosplay costumes, panniers are often used because they make the silhouette look beautiful.
However, ordinary clothing patterns are not designed with panniers in mind, so when wearing a pannier with a regular pleated skirt, the lines can lose their shape.
This skirt pattern was designed to solve that problem.
With circular pleats that do not interfere with the pannier’s silhouette, the skirt keeps its beautiful lines even when worn with a pannier.
It is a circular skirt pattern that is useful when you want both the volume of a pannier and the look of pleats.
The skirt spreads beautifully when worn with a pannier, and even without a pannier it flares out nicely when you twirl, so it is highly recommended.
Moreover, the construction is very simple compared to a regular pleated skirt, since there is no need to make many small darts.
Circular pleats like this are rarely sold commercially, so having one pattern will make your skirts look cuter and will be very handy.
It is especially recommended as a base for idol-style or uniform skirts in cosplay, as well as for everyday wear.
Please use a 22 cm invisible zipper for making this skirt.
After printing, align the joining lines, tape the sheets together, and cut them out before use. Seam allowances are already included in the pattern, so you can use it as it is.
