Cosplay costumes often utilize panniers because they create a beautiful silhouette.
However, since regular clothing patterns don't typically consider wearing panniers, wearing them under a normal pleated skirt can disrupt the silhouette.
So, I've come up with this skirt pattern, considering this issue.
With circular pleats that won't compromise the line of the pannier, even when worn, the silhouette remains elegant.
This is a pattern for a circular skirt shape, perfect for when you want both the spread of a pannier and the pleated look.
It spreads beautifully when worn with a pannier. Even without a pannier, it spreads nicely when twirled, so I highly recommend it.
Moreover, the construction method is simple, without the need for intricate darting like a regular pleated skirt.
Since this circular pleat style isn't commonly available, I think having one will enhance the cuteness of your skirt collection.
Please use a 22cm invisible zipper for making.

Fold 1cm (or 0.5in) with an iron and sew the "Hem decoration" first.
* If not using "Hem decoration", sew the four pieces together, serge/overlock the hem, fold 1cm (or 0.5in) with an iron, and sew with a machine.
How to Serge/overlock (sewing machine & overlock sewing machine)
(1) Finish the edges of the "Skirt" sides and apply stay tape to one side for zipper attachment.
(2) Sew up to the sewing end position and attach the invisible zip.
(3) Sew all the "Skirt" sides together and press the seam allowances open with an iron.

(5) Fold the mountain fold to align with the position of the mountain fold.
(6) Apply fusible interlining to the "belt" with an iron.
