This sewing pattern is for a fitted tight skirt with a shaped waistband.
The waistband is not a single straight piece. The front and back sections are shaped separately to follow the body line.
The zipper is placed at the center back, and side pockets are included for a more practical and detailed design.
The pattern includes cut lines for adjusting the skirt length, so you can change the finished length to match your design.
This pattern can be used for everyday wear or as a base pattern for cosplay costumes.
After printing, align the pages along the guide lines, join them together, and cut out the pattern pieces. Seam allowances are included, so you can use the pattern as-is.
(1) Sew the darts, then press them to one side with an iron.
(2) Serge or overlock the center back edge, then apply stay tape to the zipper attachment position.
How to Serge/overlock (sewing machine & overlock sewing machine)
(3) Sew the center back seam up to the marked sewing stop position, then press the seam allowances open.
(4) Attach the invisible zipper to the center back.
(5) Serge or overlock the side edges of the front and back skirt pieces, then apply stay tape to the pocket positions.
(6) Sew the side seams of the front and back skirt pieces together and attach the pockets.
(7) Serge or overlock the hem edge, fold it up by 2 cm, and stitch it with a sewing machine.
(8) Apply fusible interfacing to the belt pieces and sew them together.
(9) Sandwich the skirt body between the belt pieces and stitch the belt in place.
(10) Attach the belt loops.
(11) Attach the snap fasteners at the marked snap positions and the hook-and-eye fasteners at the marked hook positions.
