Simple sewing instructions are written on the pattern paper.
This is a spread shirt pattern with flared sleeves and a flared shirt hem.
The design rests softly over a flared skirt, so it can create a clean line when worn over a petticoat or similar item.
This pattern is drafted with a slightly slim fit. If the size may be tight, please choose one size larger.
After printing, align the pages along the guide lines, paste them together, and cut out the pattern pieces. Seam allowances are included, so you can use the pattern as-is.
(1) Finish the raw edge of the joining edge of the Left Front Bodice Overlap Panel and the Left Front Bodice. Sew them together and press the seam allowances open with an iron. Complete the Left Front Bodice.
How to Serge/overlock (sewing machine & overlock sewing machine)
(2) Finish the raw edges of the shoulder seams and side seams of the Left Front Bodice, Right Front Bodice, and Back Bodice. Finish the raw edges of both side edges of the Front Bodice Side, Back Bodice Side, and sleeves.
(3) Sew the side seams and shoulder seams of the bodice. Press the seam allowances open with an iron. Finish the raw edge of the hem and fold it up 1 cm (0.5 in) with an iron.
(4) Apply fusible interfacing to the facing and collar.
(5) Sew the facing pieces together. Press the seam allowances open with an iron and finish the outer raw edge.
(6) Sew the collar pieces together. Turn the collar right side out, shape it with an iron, and prepare it so it can be inserted.
* Clip or trim the curved areas of the collar seam allowances before turning the collar right side out.
(7) Sew the collar to the bodice while placing it between the bodice and facing. Fold the hem back by 1 cm (0.5 in) and sew it in place.
* Refer to the facing and hem finishing process.
(8) Sew the sleeve side seams together. Finish the raw edge of the sleeve hem, fold it inward by 1 cm (0.5 in), and topstitch with a sewing machine.
(9) Sew the sleeves to the bodice and finish the raw edge of the armholes.
(10) Sew the snaps at the snap button positions.
