This is a pattern for a double-button vest with a slightly open neckline and distinctive lines at the hem.

As it's finished with bias tape around the edges, there are no facings, making it a simple construction of sandwiching the same-shaped lining.

Feel free to use it as a base for cosplay costumes.

(1) After sewing the "bodice" and "lining" darts together, iron them down.

* darts should be tipped toward the center of the body,Lining should be tipped in the opposite direction.

How to sew darts

(2) After sewing "Front bodice" and "Front bodice side" together, press seam allowances open (same process for the lining).

* If the fabric floats, topstitch around the armhole to calm it down.

(5) basting 0.1 inch (≈2mm~3mm) around the "bodice" and "lining".

(6) Sew around the perimeter with bias tape.
