This is the sewing pattern and tutorial for the detachable collar III that many customers requested.
This is not a fake collar that looks like a layered shirt. It is a decorative detachable collar made to make the neckline look more elegant and gorgeous.
You can arrange it in many styles, such as a gothic lolita style or a medieval style, depending on your preference.
This detachable collar has a basic shape, so it is also a good base pattern for adding decorations and making custom designs.
Please measure your neck carefully and choose the size based on the detailed size chart before use.
You can also check the required lace length from the detailed size chart. However, the corner parts use more lace, so we recommend buying a little extra.
After printing, match the joining lines, tape the pages together, and cut out the pattern pieces before use. The pattern already includes seam allowance, so you can use it as it is.
* Instead of sewing around the edge and turning it inside out, folding the seam allowance first and sewing the lace between the layers will create a cleaner finish. The following steps use this method.
(1) Apply fusible interfacing to the body pieces.
(2) Fold the seam allowance around the body pieces 1 cm to the inside and press with an iron to shape the edges.
(3) Temporarily sew the lace and the ribbon to the lower side of the body piece.
* Make small notches at the tight corner areas of the collar so the fabric does not pull.
* At the corner areas of the collar, overlap the lace slightly more so the finish looks natural.
(4) Place the upper body piece on top and sew with a sandwich method to finish.
