This free sewing pattern is for a decorative detachable collar designed to add a luxurious touch to the neckline. Unlike fake collars that mimic a shirt layer, this design focuses on ornamentation and style.
The simple, versatile base shape makes it perfect for customizing—transform it into a Gothic Lolita style piece with frills and lace, or adapt it into a medieval-inspired accessory. It is ideal for cosplay costumes, stage outfits, and unique fashion statements.
The pattern is drafted with detailed neck measurements, ensuring a comfortable and accurate fit. Refer to the size chart to determine the amount of lace needed, keeping in mind that extra lace will be required for corner sections. Purchasing slightly more lace than measured is recommended.
After printing, align the pages along the guide marks, tape them together, and cut out the pieces. Seam allowances are already included, so you can start sewing right away.
The production process is explained with translation software.

* Rather than sewing around the perimeter and turning the garment inside out, it is better to fold the seam allowance with an iron and sandwich stitch the lace first.
(1) Attach fusible interlining to the "Body".
(2) Fold 0.5 inch seam allowance around the "Body" with an iron to give it a shape.
(3) Stitch the lace and the cord temporarily on the underside of the "Body".
* Cut a seam allowance around the collar to make a nice shape.
* Make sure to overlap the lace at the corners of the collar so that it doesn't look uncomfortable.
(4) Finish with a sandwich stitch on the upper "Body".
