This is a pattern for a waist mantlet with a train line, designed to drape beautifully towards the back bodice in a full circular shape.

Considering the complexity of drawing such lines individually, I took up the request and created this pattern.

To facilitate processing, I've added lines to adjust the length at the hem, making it quite useful as a base for alterations.

It's a simple structure, so even beginners should find it easy to make.

This would be particularly striking for cosplay, Halloween costumes, or stage performances.

The size is based on the actual pattern dimensions, so please measure your waist size over the costume you intend to wear before purchasing.

After printing, paste it according to the pasting line,Cut and use.

The pattern has a seam allowance, so it can be used as is.

* This waist cape has a double-layered structure.

* Please use fabric with a stretch ratio as close as possible to prevent any issues.

(1) Apply fusible interlining to the "belt" and prepare it in a sandwich-like shape.

(2) Sew the right side of the cape along the Back center line, Press open the seam allowance (S/A) with an iron, and secure with topstitching.

(3) Similarly, sew the lining of the cape along the Back center line, Press open the seam allowance (S/A) with an iron, and secure with topstitching.

(4) Place the right side of the cape and the lining right sides together, sew along the waistline leaving an opening, and turn inside out, then shape with an iron.

* If the corners are bulky when turning inside out, trim the seam allowance (S/A).

* If shaping with an iron is challenging, apply topstitching around the edges to secure.

(5) Baste the seam allowance (S/A) of the waistline together with a 5mm stitch to facilitate inserting the belt.

(6) Insert the cape into the belt, aligning with the marks, and sew on a sewing machine.

(7) Make buttons and buttonholes at the designated positions.
