This is a free sewing pattern for a tiered skirt with three gathered layers, creating a voluminous and feminine silhouette. The design is perfect for casual wear, summer outfits, costumes, or dance performances, and can be adapted to various lengths from mini to maxi.
The pattern is based on simple rectangular panels, making it easy to cut and assemble even for beginners. The waistband is elasticated for comfort and flexible sizing, so it is suitable as a one-size-fits-most garment.
Since there is no zipper or button closure, this is a beginner-friendly sewing project. For a clean and even finish, gather each tier and divide both the tier and the base panel into four equal sections before sewing, then match the marks as you stitch.
Lightweight fabrics such as cotton lawn, rayon, voile, or chiffon are recommended to achieve a beautiful drape and flow. After printing, align the joining lines, cut out the pieces, and start sewing. The pattern includes a built-in seam allowance (S/A), so no extra margins need to be added.
The production process is explained with translation software.
