This is a free sewing pattern for a tiered skirt with three gathered layers, creating a voluminous and feminine silhouette. The design is perfect for casual wear, summer outfits, costumes, or dance performances, and can be adapted to various lengths from mini to maxi.

The pattern is based on simple rectangular panels, making it easy to cut and assemble even for beginners. The waistband is elasticated for comfort and flexible sizing, so it is suitable as a one-size-fits-most garment.

Since there is no zipper or button closure, this is a beginner-friendly sewing project. For a clean and even finish, gather each tier and divide both the tier and the base panel into four equal sections before sewing, then match the marks as you stitch.

Lightweight fabrics such as cotton lawn, rayon, voile, or chiffon are recommended to achieve a beautiful drape and flow. After printing, align the joining lines, cut out the pieces, and start sewing. The pattern includes a built-in seam allowance (S/A), so no extra margins need to be added.

We operate this site with your cooperation.

(1) Serging the sides of the "Top Body", sew them together and press seam allowances open with an iron.

(2) Fold the "Top Body fold line" three times with an iron and sew it together.

* Make a hole for the elastic when sewing.

(3) Serging the sides of the "Middle Body", sew the two pieces together to form a loop, and press seam allowances open with an iron.

(4) Gather the "Middle Body Gather position" and sew it to the hem of the "Top Body" and Serging.

(5) Turn the seam allowance upward to one side and tap the stitches from the front to settle them.

(6) Serging the sides of the "Bottom Body", sew three pieces together to form a loop, and press seam allowances open with an iron.

(7) Serging the hem of "Bottom Body", fold up 1 inch and sew with a sewing machine.

* You can also fold the hem in 3 pieces.

(8) Gather at the lower gather position, sew to the hem of the "Middle Body" and Serging.

(9) Turn the seam allowance upward to one side and beat the stitches from the front to settle them.
