This is a free sewing pattern for traditional Thai wrap pants, also known as fisherman pants. These loose-fitting, wide-leg trousers are wrapped from both sides to the front, tied with a waist strap, and then folded over at the waistband for a secure fit.
Unlike many store-bought versions that come in a one-size-fits-all style, this pattern is drafted in multiple sizes to ensure a better fit for different body types. You can choose your ideal length—make them long for a relaxed bohemian style or shorten them into a comfortable half-pant design using the included length adjustment lines.
For the best drape, we recommend fabrics with a nice flow, such as rayon, lightweight cotton, or linen. You can also add a unique touch by using patterned fabric on the side panels or mixing solid and print fabrics.
After printing, align the joining lines, cut out the pieces, and start sewing. The pattern includes a built-in seam allowance (S/A), so it is ready to use without adding extra margins.
