This is a pattern and instructions for making a half-coat with an oversized tailored collar.
In the back, we've added oversized darts to create a clean flare at the hem.
The pocket sections are dummy pockets.
If you use slightly stiff interfacing on the tailored collar section, you can emphasize the collar as shown in the photo.
After printing, paste it according to the pasting line,Cut and use.
The pattern has a seam allowance, so it can be used as is.
The production process is explained with translation software.
(1) Cut the "Front facing" Fusible interlining that has been cut out along the dotted line.
(2) Iron the Fusible interlining onto the "Collar," "Front facing," "Back facing," and Lapel ("Front bodice").
(3) Stitch the Dart on the "Back bodice" up to the Dart stopping point matching position and press with an iron.
* Press down with an iron from Dart stopping point matching position downwards.
(4) Sew the "False pocket" onto the left chest position and attach the "False flap" to the attachment position.
(5) Serge/overlock and stitch together the shoulders and sides of the "Front facing" and "Back facing", and press the seam allowances open with an iron.
How to Serge/overlock (sewing machine & overlock sewing machine)
(6) Sew together the "Front facing" and "Back facing," and press the seam allowances open with an iron. Then serge/overlock.
(7) Sew the "Collar" to the "Bodice" and "Facing," press the seam allowances open with an iron, and make notches.
(8) After serging/overlocking the hem of the "Bodice," sew it to the "Facing," turn inside out, and adjust the collar.
(9) Fold up the hem of the "Bodice" by 2cm (or 0.5in) and sew with a sewing machine.
(10) Serge/overlock the side and hem of the "Sleeve," sew the side of the sleeve, and press the seam allowances open with an iron.
(11) Fold up the hem of the "Sleeve" by 2cm (or 0.5in) with an iron and sew with a sewing machine.
(12) Sew the "Sleeve" onto the "Bodice," and serge/overlock the armhole.
(13) Make buttonholes and sew on buttons.
