This is a pattern for a short cape with a stand collar, which has been requested by many.
Unlike regular patterns, this one is divided into front bodice, side, and back bodice sections, allowing for a clean shoulder line.
Unlike the Short Cape II, this design doesn't have darts and features slightly flared lines.
This pattern is also recommended as a base pattern for a three-piece cape.
After printing, paste it according to the pasting line,Cut and use.
The pattern has a seam allowance, so it can be used as is.
The production process is explained with translation software.
(1) Attach fusible interlining to the lining side of "Collar" and "Collar stand"
(2) Sew "Front bodice," "side," and "Back bodice" together, and press seam allowances open with an iron
* Trim seam allowances at sharp angles to ease them
* If it's difficult to shape with an iron, divide the seam allowances with stitches and trim excess seam allowances
* Follow the same process for the lining
(3) Align "Body" and lining with right sides together, stitch together from front side to hem to the opposite front side, and press to settle with an iron
* If it's difficult to shape with an iron, secure with stitches
(4) Pre-fold the bottom side of "Collar stand" (the side attached to "Body") by 1 cm to facilitate later tucking
(5) Open up the upper side of "Collar" with lining and face fabric, sew together in a zigzag shape, turn inside out, and settle with an iron
* Trim fabric where seam allowances are bulky
* If it's difficult to shape with an iron, secure with stitches
(6) After sewing the sides of "Collar stand" together, sew the upper side (the side where "Collar" is tucked) while tucking in "Collar," turn inside out, and settle with an iron
* When tucking in "Collar," pay attention to the side to be tucked (match right side of lining to right side, and right side to lining) ("Collar" becomes the right side when folded)
(7) Attach "Collar stand" to "Body" while tucking it in
