This is a simple scrub cap sewing pattern with instructions.
I created this pattern based on a request for a scrub cap that fits closely to the head. Darts are added to the top so the cap follows the natural shape of the head.
It also works well as a cooking cap made from printed fabric, or as an alternative to a bandana when going out.
The back ties are drafted longer, so you can easily tie them into a bow.
After printing, align the join lines, tape the pages together, and cut out the pattern. Seam allowances are already included, so you can use the pattern as it is.
* If the fabric frays easily, finish the edges.
* If the fabric frays easily, finish the raw edges before sewing.
(1) Sew the darts on the top and press the darts to one side with an iron.
(2) Finish the dart seam allowance with a three-fold hem, or fold it 1 cm inside and stitch by machine.
(3) Match the notches of the top and the side, then sew the top to the side.
(4) For the side ties, press the seam allowance along the dotted line, fold along the crease, and stitch by machine.
(5) Decide the front fold line according to the desired hat depth, then fold and press with an iron.
* If you want to secure the fold, stitch along the pressed fold line.
