Finally, I've created something that has been requested for a long time.
Here is the pattern for a very simple long-sleeved sailor collar blouse.
It's a remarkably simple construction without any darts.
The collar section is designed with a facing to accommodate those who struggle with inserting collars.
I believe it's an ideal pattern for a base material.
After printing, paste it according to the pasting line,Cut and use.
The pattern has a seam allowance, so it can be used as is.
The production process is explained with translation software.
(1) Stitch bias tape onto the "Collar", "Cuff", and chest pad positions.
* When using thin fabric, apply fusible interlining to the "Collar", "Cuff", and chest pad.
(2) French seam the chest pads together, turn inside out, shape with topstitch, and attach Sew on snaps.
(3) Serge/overlock the shoulders and sides of the "Front bodice", "Back bodice", and "Sleeve".
How to Serge/overlock (sewing machine & overlock sewing machine)
(4) Stitch the shoulders and sides of the "Front bodice", "Front bodice side", and "Back bodice" together, and Press open the seam allowance with an iron.
* If the shape doesn't hold well with an iron, use topstitch, especially with polyester fabrics.
(5) Serge/overlock the hem of the "Body", fold up by 1cm (0.5in), and sew on a sewing machine.
(6) Apply fusible interlining to both the front and back of the "facing", stitch together, split the seam allowance with an iron, and serge/overlock the outer side.
(7) Stitch the "Collar" right sides together, turn inside out, and press with an iron.
(8) Temporarily attach the "Collar" to the "Body" and stitch it in place by sandwiching it with the "facing".
(9) Make notches on the "Front bodice", turn inside out, and shape with an iron.
(10) Stitch the sides of the "Sleeve" together and Press open the seam allowance with an iron.
(11) Stitch the "Cuff" into a loop, Press open the seam allowance with an iron, and fold the stitching line beforehand for easy insertion.
How to sew sleeves and sleeve cuffs
(12) Insert the "Cuff" into the "Sleeve" hem and attach.
(13) Attach Sew on snaps to the Sew on snap positions on the "Body".
(14) Attach the "Sleeve" to the "Body" and Serge/overlock the armhole.
