This is a sewing pattern and tutorial for a raglan blouse.
This blouse has a simple stand collar and raglan sleeves.
It is recommended for summer wear, especially when made with lightweight shirt fabric.
The structure is simple, so it is also suitable for making design changes and variations.
After printing, align the pages along the guide lines, paste them together, and cut out the pattern pieces. Seam allowances are included, so you can use the pattern as-is.
*Please press all sewn seams with an iron.
(1) Apply fusible interfacing to the Collar.
(2) Sew the Collar pieces together. Turn the Collar right side out. Press the Collar to shape it so the bodice can be inserted between the Collar pieces.
*When turning the Collar right side out, make small cuts or trim the curved seam allowances.
(3) Fold the Bodice along the fold lines into three layers. Press to shape the fold and topstitch.
(4) Sew the side seams of the Front Bodice and Back Bodice together. Finish the raw edges.
How to Serge/overlock (sewing machine & overlock sewing machine)
(5) Finish the raw edge of the bodice hem. Fold the hem 1 cm (0.5 in) to the inside and topstitch.
(6) Sew the Sleeve underarm seams together. Finish the raw edges.
(7) Finish the raw edge of the sleeve hem. Fold the sleeve hem up 1 cm (0.5 in) and topstitch.
(8) Sew the Sleeves to the armholes of the Bodice. Finish the raw edges.
(9) Make small cuts at the Collar position. Finish the seam allowances to the inside. Insert the Bodice between the Collar pieces and sew the Collar to the Bodice.
(10) Make the buttonholes. Sew the buttons in place.
