Creating drafting diagrams for large sewing projects can be very time-consuming, so this free sewing pattern is provided as a simple base shape for large-size garments.
This printable pattern is suitable for use as a foundation for custom designs, making it ideal for costumes, casual wear, or other sewing projects that require a large square pattern.
For a reversible version, please prepare two different outer fabrics. If you prefer a single-layer garment, finish the edges with a double-fold hem using a sewing machine.
After printing, align the pages along the indicated join lines, tape them together, and cut out the pattern pieces. Seam allowances are already included, so this sewing pattern can be used as-is.
* The following steps describe how to make the reversible version.
(1) For both fabric pieces, fold the seam allowance around the neckline inward with an iron. Trim any areas that may cause tension so the neckline can lie flat.
(2) Sew around the outer edge of the garment, then turn it right side out through the neckline. Press with an iron, and secure the edge by stitching around the perimeter.
(3) Sew around the neckline with a sewing machine to finish.
