This is a free sewing pattern and step-by-step guide for making simple straight-leg pants (also known as trousers). The pattern includes seam allowances (S/A), so it is ready to use immediately after printing and cutting along the joining lines.
The waist is drafted larger because no darts or pleats are included in the base design. You can adjust the fit by adding darts or tucks according to your measurements. When adding darts or pleats at the waist, you may also need to add a zipper opening. For cosplay costumes, feel free to modify the lines to match your character’s design.
This pattern is intended as a base. If you want fully-featured pants with pockets, zippers, and other details, you will need to make additional modifications. However, by adding an elastic waistband, you can easily turn this pattern into comfortable loungewear or pajama pants, especially when using knit fabrics.
The men’s size version has a deeper rise compared to the women’s size for a better fit. Fabric recommendations include medium-weight cotton, twill, or knit depending on the intended use.
The production process is explained with translation software.
