Simple sewing instructions are included in the paper pattern.
This is a vest pattern with a lace-up decoration on the front, along with basic sewing instructions.
The back features an open-end zipper. Eyelets are used during the sewing process.
Please use an open-end zipper when making this pattern.
After printing, align the pages along the joining lines, tape them together, and cut them out before use. Seam allowances are already included in the pattern, so it can be used as is.
(1) Stitch the darts on the outer fabric and lining. Press the darts toward the center.
(2) Stitch the shoulders and sides of the outer fabric. Press the seam allowances open. Do the same for the lining.
* After stitching, shape the armhole and zipper areas.
(3) Place the outer fabric and lining right sides together on both sides. Stitch them together. Finish the seam and turn inside out. Press with an iron.
* If it does not lie flat, use topstitching around the edge.
(4) Align the armhole sections and stitch with topstitching.
(5) Attach the open zipper.
How to Serge/overlock (sewing machine & overlock sewing machine)
(6) Apply fusible interlining to the "Chest pad". Stitch it, leaving a small opening. Turn inside out and press. Topstitch around the edge.
* Trim the seam allowance at the corners before turning for a clean finish.
(7) Make holes at the eyelet positions. Attach the "Body" and "Chest pad" together using eyelets.
(8) Hand stitch the inside of the "Body". Then thread the lace through the eyelets.
