This is a pattern for a two-piece (separated into top and bottom) Kimono and skirt dress.
The skirt features a simple elastic-gathered design, so it has a flare and is easy to wear.
For wearing, you can easily use a Heko-obi (casual belt) as shown in the photo.
However, it's advisable to use a waist cord for the Kimono to stabilize it and prevent it from slipping off.
The skirt has three tiers, so adding plenty of gathered frill lace to each hem part will make it look cute.
After printing, paste it according to the pasting line,Cut and use.
The pattern has a seam allowance, so it can be used as is.

How to make Kimono Skirt 2 (Kimono section)
* Please note that the instructions for this pattern are simplified.
* For making a traditional kimono, please refer to a specialized book on Japanese sewing.
(1) Make the "cord" with a French seam, turn it inside out, and prepare it first.
(2) Sew the “Back Center of the Body” together, serge/overlock, and press the seam allowance to one side with an iron.
How to Serge/overlock (sewing machine & overlock sewing machine)
(3) Sew the “Okumi” together, serge/overlock, and press the seam allowance to one side with an iron.
(4) Serge/overlock the sides, sew them together, and press seam allowances open with an iron.
* When sewing together, secure the "cord" as well.
(5) Serge/overlock the “Okumi” from the "Align the position of the collar" down and around the hem, and press and sew it with an iron.
(6) After attaching the “Collar Stay” to the “Collar,” first attach the “Tomoeri” to the “Collar,” fold both sides by 10mm (or 0.5in), make a crease in the center, and then attach it to the “bodice” while enclosing it in the “Collar”.
* When attaching the “Collar,” insert the "cord" at the “Cord Insertion Position”.
(7) Serge/overlock around the “Sleeve,” sew the Stitch stopping point for the sleeve opening, and then attach the “Sleeve” to the “bodice”.
How to make Kimono Skirt 2 (Skirt section)
(1) Serge/overlock the sides of the “Skirt(base)”, “Skirt(Upper tier)”, and “Skirt(Middle tier)”.
(2) Sew the sides of the “Skirt(base)” together, and press seam allowances open with an iron.
(3) Serge/overlock the hem of the “Skirt(base)” and fold it 1cm (or 0.5in) with an iron.
(4) When securing the hem of the “Skirt(base)”, attach the gathered frill lace.
* Follow steps (2) to (4) to shape the “Skirt(Upper tier)” and “Skirt(Middle tier)” as well.
(5) Fold the top edge of the “Skirt(Middle tier)” 1cm (or 0.5in) inward and sew it to the “Skirt(base)” at the [Attachment position of the skirt (middle tier)].
(6) Baste the “Skirt(Upper tier)” to the “Skirt(base)” at the [Position to overlap the skirt (upper tier)].
(7) Sew the "Skirt belt" into a loop and shape it so it can be folded with an iron.
* Leave an opening in the "Skirt belt" for inserting elastic.
(8) Enclose the "Skirt belt" in the “Skirt(base)” and sew it in place, then insert the elastic.
