Hanfu Free Paper pattern & How to make DRCOS

This is a simplified pattern for a Hanfu, suitable for cosplay, stage costumes, party costumes, etc., rather than an authentic one.

If you want to make an authentic Hanfu, please refer to specialized books.

It's a simplified version, please note that it doesn't include accessories such as belts.

This Hanfu is designed to be wrapped around the body with the left bodice longer.

After printing, paste it according to the pasting line,Cut and use.

The pattern has a seam allowance, so it can be used as is.

The production process is explained with translation software.

Also, since this is a simplified version, it does not include lining. If you want to add lining, please use the pattern as a guide for placement.

(1) Stitch the Back center line of the upper "Body" and Serge/overlock it, then press it flat with an iron.

How to Serge/overlock (sewing machine & overlock sewing machine)

(2) Attach the "Extension parts" to the left front part of the upper "Body", Serge/overlock it, and press it flat with an iron.

(3) Serge/overlock the sides of the upper "Body" together and press open the seam allowance with an iron.

(4) Sew the sides of the "Body" hem from left front to left back, then right back to right front, Serge/overlock them, and press them flat with an iron.

(5) Attach the "Body" hem to the upper "Body", Serge/overlock it, and press the seam allowance downward with an iron.

(6) Serge/overlock the right front side of the "Body" and fold it by 1cm (0.5in), then sew it on a sewing machine.

(7) Apply fusible interlining to half of the "Collar", fold along the center line and side dotted lines by 1cm (0.5in), and keep it in a folded state.

(8) Fold the "Collar" in half along the center line with the wrong side together, stitch along the thick dotted line, turn it inside out, and shape it.

(9) Align and sandwich the "Collar" between the upper "Body" and "Back bodice" at the center mark, then stitch it in place.

(10) Sew the sides of the hem from left front to left back, then right back to right front, and press open the seam allowance with an iron. (Make it symmetrical on both sides.)

(11) Fold the part where the hem will be folded by 1cm (0.5in) beforehand to shape it.

(12) Sew the two layers of the hem together along the dotted line, turn it inside out, and shape it with an iron.

(13) Sandwich the hem between the "Body" and stitch it in place.

(14) Stitch along the dotted line of the "Sleeve" and make it cylindrical, then press the seam allowances open with an iron.

(15) Stitch around the opening of the "Sleeve" in a loop, divide the seam allowance, fold it by 1cm (0.5in), sandwich it with the "Body", and stitch it in place.

(16) Stitch the "Sleeve" to the "Body", Serge/overlock the seam allowance, and press it flat with a sewing machine.
