Arrow Skirt Sewing Patterns | DRCOS Patterns & How To Make

This sewing pattern is for the Arrow Skirt shown in the costume image.

The angles, balance, and lengths of the arrow-shaped sections were carefully adjusted to create the finished shape.

We recommend using leather or synthetic leather with some firmness so that the arrow shape stays stable.

Please use a 22 cm invisible zipper for this pattern.

After printing, align the pages along the guide lines, join them together, and cut out the pattern pieces. Seam allowances are included, so you can use the pattern as-is.

*When making the Arrow Skirt, use leather, synthetic leather, or another material that does not fray easily.

*When cutting, do not use pins. Secure the pattern to the surface of the fabric with cellophane tape and cut it out with a utility knife.

(1) Sew the side seam up to the zipper attachment position, then attach the invisible zipper at the marked position.

(2) Sew the opposite side seam. Topstitch the seam allowances on both side seams to keep them flat, then open the seam allowances.

(3) Apply fusible interfacing to the belt.

*If the leather is thick, fusible interfacing is not necessary for the belt.

(4) Fold each short side of the belt inward by 1 cm (0.5 in) and press it with an iron.

(5) Fold the belt along the center line.

*When pressing the belt, let one inner edge extend about 1 mm beyond the other edge. This makes it easier to catch both layers when stitching.

(6) Sew both short ends of the belt, then turn the belt right side out.

(7) Align the belt with the marked basting position on the skirt and stitch it in place.

(8) Attach a hook-and-eye fastener or a button.
