Here is the pattern for a racing-style school swimsuit.
It features a simple construction where the neckline and shoulder areas are finished with bias binding.
Due to numerous requests, we plan to offer three types of school swimsuits.
While swimsuits may seem daunting, the construction is actually quite simple.
After printing, paste it according to the pasting line,Cut and use.
The pattern has a seam allowance, so it can be used as is.

* When making, be sure to use 2-way stretch fabric.
* Depending on the 2-way stretch fabric, the stretchability may vary, so if using a non-stretch fabric, please adjust the side seams slightly longer and modify the pattern accordingly.
* Use stretchy thread for sewing, and especially in areas requiring stretch, use a zigzag stitch or similar for reinforcement.
(1) Sew the darts on the chest and iron and fold the seam towards the center.
(2) Serge/overlock the lower edge of the chest lining and temporarily attach it to the bias tape position around the neck and shoulders.
How to Serge/overlock (sewing machine & overlock sewing machine)
(3) Sew and Serge/overlock both sides of the "Front bodice" and "Back bodice", then fold the seam allowance to the back with an iron.
(4) Sew and Serge/overlock the center line of the "Back bodice" and fold it to one side with an iron.
(5) Serge/overlock the inseam position of the crotch lining.
(6) After sewing the inseam, Serge/overlock it together with the crotch reinforcement.
(7) Serge/overlock the leg circumference, fold it inward, insert the elastic, and sew it with a 1cm (0.5in) allowance.
* At this stage, it is recommended to temporarily wear the garment, adjust the length of the strings to match the stretchiness of the fabric, and temporarily attach the bias tape around the neck and shoulders.
(8) Sew the bias tape around the neck, securing it at the "Back bodice" stopping position.
* The bias tape sewn at fixed positions on the left and right sides may weaken at the roots during wear, so reinforce by sewing the bias tape together at this time, or wrap and fix the two bias tapes with additional bias tape.
(9) Finish the bias tape position around the shoulders with bias tape.
* It's convenient to temporarily attach elastic inside the bias tape position around the shoulders, make it into a loop beforehand, and then use it.
