This is a free sewing pattern and tutorial for a simple Santa hat.
The design is based on a quarter-circle shape, making it easy to sew and customize. You can adjust the length or change the width of the white faux fur trim to suit your style.
As long as the head circumference remains the same, you can modify the shape freely to create different variations. Adding an oversized faux fur pom-pom to the tip makes the hat extra cute.
This base pattern is beginner-friendly and perfect for creating custom Christmas or holiday hats.
Once printed, cut along the join lines. The pattern already includes seam allowances, so it is ready to use immediately.
(1) Finish the edges of the base first.
(2) Sew the side edges of the base together and turn it right side out.
* Before turning, trim off the seam allowance at the tip.
(3) Sew both side edges of the poodle boa by hand to make a loop, then fold it in half.
(4) From the wrong side of the base, wrap it with the poodle boa and hand sew it in place.
(5) Attach a large white pom-pom or fur pom-pom to the tip.
