This is a pattern for a Long Gilet, as requested.
The pattern includes instructions for the lining as well, hence the slightly higher number of pages for printing.
The collar section features a simple construction where it's stitched in place when sandwiched between the main fabric and the lining.
To ensure stable lines, it's recommended to use medium to heavy fusible interlining on the facing part.
Since the front design has a slight opening, please take note of that detail.
After printing, paste it according to the pasting line,Cut and use.
The pattern has a seam allowance, so it can be used as is.
The production process is explained with translation software.
(1) Apply fusible interlining to the "Collar", "front facing", and "Back facing".
(2) Sew bias tape to the bias tape attachment position on the outer fabric of the "Collar".
(3) Sew the "Collar" right sides together, open around the neck, and sew the two pieces together. Then, shape with an iron.
(4) Sew the "front facing" and "Back facing" together and press open the seam allowance with an iron.
(5) Sew together the shoulder, side, and back center line of the lining of the "Front bodice" and "Back bodice" and press open the seam allowance with an iron.
(6) Sew the facing to the lining with the seam allowance facing downward. Press seam towards the center.
(7) Align bias tape with the bias tape attachment position on the "Front bodice" and stitch in place.
(8) Sew together the shoulder, side, and back center line of the "Front bodice" and "Back bodice" and press open the seam allowance with an iron.
(9) Align the "Collar" with the "Collar" attachment position on the "Front bodice" and temporarily secure around the neck.
(10) Align the "Body" and lining right sides together and sew from the sewing stop position all around to the opposite sewing stop position.
*Before turning inside out, make cuts in the seam allowance at easy-to-pull positions like the neckline for a neat finish.
(11) After turning inside out with French seam, pull the armhole section out from the hole and sew the armhole together.
*Sew the armhole section half at a time.
(12) After shaping the entire piece with an iron, close the hem.
*If shaping is difficult with an iron, use topstitching to ensure clean lines.
