This is a free sewing pattern for a traditional Japanese chef’s hat. Seam allowances are already included, so you can use the pattern as is.
A Japanese chef’s hat is commonly worn by cooks and chefs in Japanese cuisine. While this may seem like a very specific item, it can also be adapted or modified for other purposes, such as costume-making or custom designs.
The construction is very simple, making it beginner-friendly. Even sewing beginners can complete it with ease.
You can customize the design by adding eyelets for ventilation or decorative stitching for a unique look.
This hat is lightweight, comfortable, and practical for everyday use in the kitchen or as part of a uniform.
After printing, align the pages along the join lines, cut, and use the pattern directly since the seam allowances are already included.
(1) Press the top and bottom edges of the side with an iron to shape them for easy attachment.
