This is a sewing pattern for a corset skirt with a full-circle 360-degree long skirt attached to a lace-up corset that emphasizes the bust line.
The pattern is drafted with three-dimensional shaping to follow the body line. For a closer fit, use your usual waist size or one size smaller and adjust the fit with the front lacing.
The garment opens and closes with a zipper at the back. The front is open and is designed to be securely fastened with the lacing.
The long skirt includes length adjustment lines at 5 cm intervals, allowing you to shorten it to a short or semi-long length to suit your design.
Heavy fusible interfacing is essential for stabilizing the eyelet areas.
Use this pattern as a base and modify it to suit your design.
After printing, align the pages along the guide lines, paste them together, and cut out the pattern pieces. Seam allowances are included, so you can use the pattern as-is.
*Please press all sewn seams with an iron.
(1) Apply fusible interfacing to the lining. Apply heavy fusible interfacing to the marked area on the Front Bodice lining.
(2) Sew together the Front Bodice, Front Side Bodice, Back Side Bodice, Back Bodice, and Back Center.
(3) Press the seam allowances open with an iron, then topstitch them flat.
(4) Make the lining by following steps (2) and (3).
(5) Baste the outer fabric and lining together around the edges. Finish the front edge and upper edge with bias tape.
(6) Finish the raw edges of the skirt side seams except for the zipper opening.
How to Serge/overlock (sewing machine & overlock sewing machine)
(7) Sew the skirt side seams except for the zipper opening. Press the seam allowances open, then topstitch them flat.
(8) Apply stay tape to the zipper opening.
(9) Sew up to the stitch stop mark. Press the seam allowances open, then topstitch them flat.
(10) Attach the invisible zipper.
(11) Finish the raw edge of the skirt hem. Fold the hem up 1 cm (0.5 in), press it with an iron, and stitch.
(12) Attach the eyelets at the marked positions, thread the cord through them, and the garment is complete.
