This is a sewing pattern for a China Hat II (with a brim).
It has a design inspired by old-style Chinese hats often seen in traditional movies.
I am not very familiar with the exact name, so I designed it based on the appearance.
You can decorate the brim with patterns or attach a feather on the top for a cool look. It is also great for Halloween costumes.
After printing, align and paste the pages along the matching lines, then cut along the pattern. Seam allowances are already included, so you can use it as it is.
(1) Sew two base pieces together. Press the seam allowance open, then topstitch.
(2) Sew another base piece to the joined two pieces. Press the seam allowance open, then topstitch.
(3) Repeat steps (1) and (2) with the other three base pieces to make two half-circle parts.
(4) Sew the two half-circle parts together. Press the seam allowance open, then topstitch.
(5) Fold the brim along the folding line first to shape it. Sew the sides together and press the seam allowance open with an iron.
(6) Sew the two brim pieces together. Turn it right side out, press it into shape with an iron, and attach it to the body while sandwiching it in.
