This is a pattern for boot covers that can be opened with a zipper up to the ankle.

Since they are covers, not boots, they are worn over sneakers or similar footwear.

The shape is generally simple, so please use it as a base pattern for modification.

The pattern is from when making boot covers shown in the reference photos, including patterns for decorative parts.

Although the pattern is relatively simple, it's a bit challenging due to the thick leather fabric, making sewing difficult, and attaching the elastic is a bit tricky, so the difficulty level is set slightly higher.

If you're hand-sewing the elastic, I don't think it should be too difficult.

After printing, paste it according to the pasting line,Cut and use.

The pattern has a seam allowance, so it can be used as is.

How to make Aladdin Pants

The production process is explained with translation software.

*When cutting leather (synthetic leather), neatly tape the pattern to the surface of the leather and cut it with a cutter & cutting mat to achieve clean edges. If the blade of the cutter is dull, replace it immediately with a new one.

(1) Punch holes at the eyelet positions for decorative cords, insert eyelets, and attach them with eyelet setters.

*Please use eyelets that match the width of the decorative cords (15mm to 20mm).

*We use eyelets with a head diameter of 9mm.

*Punch eyelet holes cleanly using a screw punch or leather punch, etc.

Prepare holes at the shaft's zipper positions (2) and eyelet positions for the eyelet setters.

(3) While holding down the decorative cord with the eyelet setter, secure it with eyelets at the shaft's eyelet positions.

(4) Topstitch the main decorative embellishments in place.

(5) Sew the top ends on the back side of the shaft, turn them over to the front side, and topstitch them in place while sandwiching the vertical decorative cord.

*When sandwiching, also include the top decorative embellishments.

(6) Attach a flat zipper to the shaft's zipper position.

*Please use YKK flat knit zippers in 30cm or 35cm lengths.

(7) Connect the main heel parts, split the seam allowance (S/A), and secure it with topstitching.

(8) Reinforce the main bottom perimeter with bias tape.

*Cut the synthetic leather into 20mm strips to create bias tape, which enhances the contour's strength when used as bias tape.

(9) Secure the shaft to the main to complete the shape.

(10) Attach the elastic at the elastic attachment positions.

*It is easier to sew the elastic by aligning it with the stitching line of the inner bias tape.

*Boot covers are easier to put on if you first slip them over the shoes and then wear them.
