This free tights sewing pattern is designed specifically for cosplay costumes, offering a shape and fit that are often difficult to find in store-bought options. It is not intended for professional hosiery production, but for creating custom tights that match your costume’s design.
The pattern includes shaping for the calves, unlike standard straight-line tights patterns, giving a more natural and fitted look. If you need a design that extends to the toes, please see our “Tights II” pattern.
The thigh and calf widths can be adjusted according to the stretch of your chosen fabric. For best results, use a 2-way stretch fabric with Regiron (stretch) thread to ensure comfort and durability.
This pattern already includes seam allowances, so it can be cut and sewn as is. After printing, align and tape the pages together along the matching lines before cutting.
Perfect for cosplay makers seeking accurate legwear shapes, this pattern helps you create tights that fit your exact measurements and costume style.
The production process is explained with translation software.
