Here is the pattern for a simple A-line dress with a square neckline, as requested by many.

It's a simple A-line dress, so it should also serve as an ideal base pattern.

(1) Serge/overlock the shoulder and side of the front "Back bodice" and the side of the "Sleeve."

(9) Fold the seam allowance (S/A) of the hem of the "Body" to the front, sew the front and back of the hem decoration together, fold the seam allowance (S/A) with an iron, attach it to the "Body," and sew the hem.
