This is the sewing pattern and instructions for a simple High Neck Shirt II (long sleeves & short sleeves).
Please use knit fabric, 2-way stretch fabric, or other stretchy materials when making this garment.
The pattern is drafted to be slightly fitted.
If you prefer a relaxed fit, please choose one size larger.
If you have an overlock machine, you can finish the garment without using a regular sewing machine.
The difference between the men's and women's sizes is small, but the shoulder width, sleeve width, and length are slightly different. We recommend using the men's size for men.
After printing, align the joining lines, tape the sheets together, and cut out the pattern. Seam allowances are already included, so you can use it as is.
(1) Sew the shoulders and sides of the front and back body, and the sides of the sleeves with a sewing machine. Then Serge/overlock the seam allowances.
How to Serge/overlock (sewing machine & overlock sewing machine). Please refer to this page
(2) Sew the collar into a circle with a sewing machine, press seam allowances open with an iron, then fold it in half along the dotted line to keep the shape.
(3) Serge/overlock the hem of the body and the hem of the sleeves. Fold them 0.5 inch inward with an iron and sew with a sewing machine.
(4) Sew the sleeves and the collar to the body, then Serge/overlock the armholes.
*Use knit fabric or other stretchy material.
*Elastic thread is recommended.
