This is a free sewing pattern for 7/8 length gaucho pants, featuring a wide-leg silhouette that flares toward the hem.
Gaucho pants, originally inspired by South American cowboys, are versatile and comfortable. This pattern is designed without zippers — the waistband can be finished with elastic or a drawstring — making it ideal for beginners.
The design works well with various fabrics, from soft drapey materials for a relaxed look to structured fabrics for a sharper style. By changing the fabric, you can easily achieve a different texture and appearance.
The length is cropped, making it perfect for casual wear, cosplay, or as a base for more complex costume designs. Choose your size based on hip measurements for the best fit.
After printing, align the join lines and cut along them. The pattern includes seam allowances (S/A), so it is ready to use as is.
The production process is explained with translation software.
