Here is the pattern for a mantlet with the maximum length achievable with double-width fabric.

This pattern includes instructions for making a mantlet with a stand collar that requires stiff fusible interfacing.

Since it's a long pattern, it can serve as a base pattern for creating mantlets of various lengths.

After printing, paste it according to the pasting line,Cut and use.

The pattern has a seam allowance, so it can be used as is.

The production process is explained with translation software.

(1) Attach stiff fusible interlining to the "Collar" lining with an iron, then attach the "Collar" lining to the mantle lining. Press seam allowances open with an iron.

* Make incisions in the split seam allowance (S/A) to secure the fabric.

(2) Sew the "Collar" right side and the mantle right side together. Press seam allowances open with an iron.

(3) On one side of position (3), fold it 1cm (0.5in) with an iron to shape it (both right side lining and mantle).

(4) Align the right side and lining of the mantle, then sew them together starting from the sewing start position to the sewing end position, encompassing the perimeter.

* After sewing, cut the seam allowance (S/A) at the corners.

(5) Flip it inside out through the open side and shape it with an iron.

(6) Sew around the perimeter of the mantle with topstitching to secure it.

* Make sure to sew the open side closed during topstitching.

* If it's inconvenient to close with topstitching, use iron-on adhesive tape to close the open side.
